From either starting point, the main water bus line takes you to the Cá d’Oro stop within minutes, though guests arriving at Santa Lucia may simply choose to walk to the hotel.

The journey on foot is a 1 km straight line along Lista di Spagna, which turns into Rio Terá San Leonardo, then Rio Terá de la Madalena and finally Strada Nova. It’s advisable to get hold of a map of Venice before your arrival, as the intricate system of lanes, canals and small squares that make up this enigmatic city can be very difficult to navigate at first!
